Between January and September 2025, Uzbekistan welcomed around 1.4 million foreign tourists, marking an increase of approximately 506,000 visitors compared to the same period of the previous year. The data demonstrates a consistent rise in interest from regional markets as well as from Europe and Asia. Russia leads the ranking with 269,158 visitors, maintaining its position as the largest source of incoming tourists. Turkmenistan follows with 193,635 travelers, while Kazakhstan ranks third with 143,898 arrivals. One of the most notable shifts is the strong growth from China, with 117,864 visitors, influenced significantly by the introduction of visa-free travel and strengthened bilateral tourism ties.
The Kyrgyz Republic contributed 114,005 visitors, underlining the strong movement within Central Asia. Tajikistan recorded 84,696 travelers, while Türkiye added 50,976. Italy stands out among European markets with 32,635 arrivals, followed by India with 32,254 visitors. Germany contributed 29,632, Korea 26,832, and the United States 23,630 travelers. Additionally, 255,855 people arrived from other countries, showing the broad international reach of Uzbekistan's tourism sector.
These figures indicate that Uzbekistan is steadily strengthening its position as one of the key tourism destinations in the region. While Central Asia remains the primary source of visitors, the rapid growth from China and the consistent interest from Europe signal that the audience is expanding. Improvements in infrastructure, growing digital accessibility, and strong international promotion efforts continue to support this upward trend.
